Mpumalanga’s community safety MEC called on police and traffic authorities on 26 October to clamp down on illegal racing after an incident reportedly claimed a life on the D1657 in Nkomazi. The department said the alleged racing incident occurred on 25 October at Ritcher’s Hoek, between Malelane and KaMhlushwa. Motorists and spectators using these roads face exposure to dangerous driving. MEC Jackie Macie urged the public to report planned or ongoing illegal races.
