Police intercept vehicles linked to cross-border smuggling routes

On 20 October, a multi-disciplinary Mpumalanga team dealt with three double-cab bakkies in separate incidents around Malalane, Karino, Plaston and Kabokweni, including one vehicle allegedly hijacked in Kabokweni. Limpopo police recovered a stolen Toyota Prado valued at about R900 000 while it was allegedly travelling towards Beitbridge. Authorities have linked vehicle theft networks to cross-border routes through both Beitbridge and Lebombo.
