Wednesday, 4 November, is a national public holiday for the local government elections, affecting staffing, deliveries and service arrangements during the coming week. The Presidency has urged employers to make provision for staff to vote at their registered voting stations. Separately, the Reserve Bank has confirmed it will be closed for trading and settlement that day. Businesses should confirm supplier hours and payment cut-offs with their banks. The Reserve Bank notice does not mean every retail payment service will be unavailable.
